Iona Bain is a writer, author, speaker, broadcaster and founder of Young Money; the first British website dedicated to young people’s finances. Here she talks about how we have changed our consumer habits in the light of Lockdown and how frozen food has become more popular and even has some health benefits
She is a regular presence on TV and radio, and is quoted frequently in national and online press. Iona is a writer for the award-winning FT Money section in the Financial Times and recently became Money Hacker in residence at BBC Radio 1’s Life Hacks show, regularly broadcasting her down-to-earth money advice to young people across the UK.
She is a stalwart contributor to BBC programmes such as Woman’s Hour, Newsnight and Moneybox, which she has guest-presented. Other appearances have included ITV Tonight, The One Show, Sky News, BBC Breakfast, Radio 5 live, Radio 4’s Broadcasting House, Channel 4 News, BBC Scotland and the Max Keiser Report on RT
